The broadcasting contribution is the model for financing the public broadcasters in Germany. The ARD ZDF Deutschlandradio Beitragsservice is responsible for administering the broadcasting fees. Previously, this central office was called Gebühreneinzugszentrale, or GEZ in short. The broadcasting fee is casually referred to as the “GEZ fee”.
